New York cheesecake





*You will need:


+Crust ingredients:


°2 cups of graham crackers.


°1/4 cup granulated sugar.


°5 tablespoons of butter - melted.


°A pinch of kosher salt.


+Filling ingredients:


°4 blocks cream cheese, at room temperature (8 ounces each).


°1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar.


°1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.


°4 large eggs, at room temperature.


°A pinch of kosher salt.

Step 1:


to start preparing; You need to raise the oven temperature up to 350 degrees.


Step 2:


Combine cookie crumbs, sugar, butter, and salt in a large bowl, stirring until clumps form.


Step 3:


Place the crumbs in a springform pan and press down firmly and evenly over the bottom and about halfway up the sides of the pan.


The fourth step:


Place the crust in the oven and bake for ten minutes, or until the center has set.


Fifth step:


Place the baking dish on a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Cover the inside of the pan as well as the sides with aluminum foil. Lower the temperature in the oven to 325 degrees.


Sixth step:


Place the cream cheese in a large bowl and use an electric mixer to blend it until foamy, which should take about two to three minutes.


Seventh step:


While mixing the sugar and vanilla, be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl as necessary. After adding each egg one at a time and mixing the mixture well after each addition, add the eggs to the cream cheese mixture.


Eighth step:


After placing the crust in a deep frying pan, pour the filling into the crust. Place the baking tray in the oven and then fill it with water. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.


Step 9:


Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool on the rack it was baked on. Place it in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least eight hours, or up to overnight.


Step 10:


Serve chilled with strawberry slices on top, or simply drink it.
