 Fried Peach Pies using Canned Biscuits


*ingredients:


°1 box of peaches


°1/2 teaspoon of pure almond extract


°1 cup powdered sugar


°1 box of cooled biscuits


°1/4 cup of milk


*Directions:


Drain the canned peaches and cut them into small pieces.


In a mixing bowl, combine chopped peaches, 1/4 cup peach syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract.


On a lightly floured surface, roll out each biscuit into a 5-inch circle.


Spread about 1 tablespoon of the peach mixture on one half of each cookie circle, leaving a small border around the edge.


Fold the other half of each cookie circle over the peach mixture and press the edges firmly to seal.


Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep fryer or Dutch oven to 350°F.


Fry the patties in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.


Remove the pancakes from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.


In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 cup milk until smooth.


Drizzle the mixture over the warm fried patties.
