 The best banana cake recipe with cream cheese



* Ingredients :



+For cake:

°3 large mashed bananas

°3 cups of flour

°1 ½ c. Pure milk

°2 ½ tbsp. Lemon juice

°½ tbsp. baking soda

°½ tsp. salt

°⅔ c. butter at room temperature

°3 large eggs, at room temperature

°1 c. granulated sugar

°½ c. Brown sugar

°1 tsp. vanilla

+For icing:

°⅓ c. ghee

°8 oz. cream cheese

°1 ½ tsp. Lemon peel

°1 tsp. Lemon juice

°3 c. soft sugar


*Directions


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mash 3 large bananas, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and set aside.

Pour 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into a measuring cup, and add 1 cup of milk. Set the milk mixture aside for later use.

Using a hand mixer, cream together 1/2 cup room-temperature butter with 1 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

Gradually add 3 eggs to the butter mixture.

Pour in 1 teaspoon of the vanilla, and beat the butter-sugar mixture until fluffy and creamy.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add the flour mixture a little at a time to the butter mixture, alternating with a little of the milk and lemon mixture. Make sure not to over mix the mixture at this time.

Once the flour mixture and milk are incorporated into the cake batter, add the mashed bananas, and pour the mixture into a greased 13" x 9" pan.

Bake the cake in the oven for 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

When the cake is done cooking, set it aside to cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat 1/2 cup softened butter and 8 ounces cream cheese until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon peel.

Slowly add 3 cups of powdered sugar, a little at a time. Mix until desired icing consistency.

Once the cake has cooled, apply a thick layer of icing on it.

Cover slice cake with fresh banana and serving
